NEW! Young Adult Class – Adults 25-45; meets in Room E204. Study: When Christians Get it Wrong, by Adam Hamilton –Facilitation is shared. When young adults talk about the problems they have with Christianity and the church, they often talk about certain attitudes and behaviors they believe are practiced too often by Christians. In this study, they will tackle these issues and address how and why Christians get it right when it comes to being Christ in the world. Book fee is $12. Genesis – Adults 30-50; meet in Room D212. Contact person – TBA Study: The Wired Word – This study relates current events to Bible passages and encourages the group to explore how these passages can relate to our everyday lives through discussion.

Faith Builders – Adults 30’s and 40’s; meets in Room D205. Contact persons – Chad Miller (drandy95@gmail.com), Kyle Brown (brown678@northstate.net or 887-6470) Study: TBA - They will decide a study after discussion with the class.

One Word – Adults 35+; meets in Room D203. Contact persons – Linda Robbian (lindacrobb@aol.com or 841-6085), Vicky Jarrett (vjarrett@northstate.net) Study: The Book of Matthew – This will involve study and discussion. Vicky Jarrett will be facilitating the study.

Covenant –Adults in their 50’s; meets in Room D202. Contact person – Ellen Miller (EMOMiller@aol.com or 883-4755) Study: Five Practices of Fruitful Congregation, by Robert Schnase (Book fee is $12.50)–Study ways that the church can be shaped and sustained by radical hospitality, passionate worship, intentional faith development, risk-taking mission and service, and extravagant generosity.

Rhema – Adults age 55-70; meets in Room D201. Contact person – Jim Royal (jroyal@triad.rr.com or 884-5364) Study: How God Takes Our Little & Makes It Much, by Dr. James W. Moore. It is a Bible study that uses key scriptures that distinctively shape us as United Methodists.

Brand X – Adults in their 60’s; meets in Room D211. Contact persons – Linda McCoy (882-0529), Joe & Diana Lorber (jlorber@triad.rr.com or 869-6715) Study: A time of learning and discussing how Christians can grow spiritually, led by Charles Huff. This study will be followed by a variety of speakers.

New Vision – Adults, average age is 65; meets in the Small Dining Room (next to the Kitchen) Contact person – Ed Brooks (brooks305@aol.com or 883-9426) Study: The Bible – They will take you through the entire Bible with reading and discussion. Facilitation is shared.

Aldersgate-Miller Memorial – Adults in their 60’s; meets in Room D208. Contact persons – Bill Anderson (887-2353), Joel & Faith Key (joelfaithkey@gmail.com or 885-1927), Lois Markham Study: A variety of topics led by different leaders.

Adult Fellowship – Adults age 70-100; meets in Room D210. Contact persons – Olive Frye (886-4076), Carolyn Watson (887-9620) Study: Adult Bible Series – This study is Bible-based, Christ-focused, United Methodist-approved curriculum that will guide you through different books of the Bible. There are a variety of teachers for this class.

5th Sunday Seminars
Themed discussions where all the adult Sunday school classes gather together to learn and discuss ways to grow in their relationship with Christ. These discussions will be led by a clergy-person on staff. Location: Chapel.
October 30 – Theme: Prayer - Led by Rev. Kathy Barba Pierce – According to Paul, we are called to pray unceasingly. Kathy will be teaching a prayer practice that helps us achieve just that – praying unceasingly. It will be a fun time of learning, discussion, and practice. Come join us!
