Dr. Al Ward will be preaching at the 8:30 and 11 am services. His sermon, “Casting out Demons” will be based on Mark 1:21-28.
Rev. Adam Vernon will be preaching at the 8:45 and 9:45 am. His sermon, “Super Gifts” will be based on Isaiah 40:21-31.
We will celebrate communion at each service!
This is also “Souper” Bowl Sunday at Wesley Memorial. You are invited to bring 1 canned good, $1 or both for those who are hungry right here in High Point. Donations will be collected at all worship services and delivered to Open Door Ministries. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
SIGN UP NOW! The Cultural Awareness Mini Series continues with a Poverty Simulation co-hosted by The United Way of Greater High Point. The Poverty Simulation will be held February 12 from 5:30pm-8:30pm in the Youth Area. Everyone who is interested in serving communities who live in poverty is encouraged to attend this event. Ways to Connect~
Please join us for dinner on Wednesday, cooked by the members of Wesley 100. The menu for February 8 is fried chicken, turnip greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, bread or biscuit, and dessert. The cost is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Looking ahead the dinner for February 15 is meatloaf. Purchase your ticket or call the church office to make a reservation.

Lenten Study – Adam Hamilton’s 24 Hours that Changed the World
For our Lenten study, we will be learning about Jesus’ last 24 hours on earth. This class will meet weekly, three times a week (similar to our Advent study). We will be offering the class on Sunday @ 6pm, Wednesday @ 6:30pm, and Thursday @ 9:15am in Conference Room 3 (third floor of administrative bldg). If you want a book, the cost will be $12. Some books will be available at the front desk or you can order them at www.amazon.com. The schedule will be as follows:
• Feb 26, 29, Mar 1 – The Last Supper
• Mar 4, 7, 8 – The Garden of Gethsemane
• Mar 11, 14, 15 – Condemned by the Righteous

Ways to Serve~
Do you have the ability to make someone feel welcome and at home? We are currently seeking a volunteer to serve at the Front Desk as the Tuesday afternoon (2-5 pm) receptionist. Training and orientation are offered on the phone system and other important responsibilities. Please contact Anne Davis at 884-2204, if you are interested or want to learn more.
Habitat for Humanity needs your help! Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity is looking for volunteers to help prepare its new ReStore (the old Cloverleaf Building). Workdays will be any Tuesday, Friday or Saturday beginning at 8:30am throughout the month of February.
