February, 2008

Dear Friends,

It is with much pleasure that the United Methodist Women of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church extend to you an application to participate in our long-standing tradition of our Annual Carolina Christmas Bazaar. This year’s Bazaar will be held November 15, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Wesley Memorial Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall and Dining Hall. The Bazaar will be advertised throughout Archdale, Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown and Thomasville via flyers, newspaper, radio and television. Flyers will also be available for your distribution in the church office after October 15, 2008.

We invite you to participate by bringing your arts and wares to sell at the Bazaar. Spaces, 8' X 10', will rent for $70.00 each, one vendor per space(s) no sub leasing allowed. Tables, 8' X 3', are available for rent at $5.00 each. We also request that you bring a table cloth or cover to make your booth more attractive. Electrical outlets are limited so if you need electricity, I need to know as soon as possible. Also, you will need to bring your own 25' extension cord. Vendors are responsible for their own set-up on Friday, November 14th at 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday morning beginning at 6:30 AM. Vendors are required to clean-up their own area before leaving. Since we will be advertising the Bazaar staying open until 3:00 PM, we ask that vendors stay until that time unless they sell out. The United Methodist Women or Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church will not be responsible for any theft, damage or personal injury while on church property.

As there are a limited number of spaces and a long waiting list, we give first priority to our returning vendors. Vendors that participated in the 2007 Carolina Christmas Bazaar must submit an application and check before June 2, 2008 to retain their space. New vendors are chosen as space becomes available. We strive for variety and quality when selecting vendors. New vendors should submit an application, pictures of the art, craft or product you will sell and a check no later than September 2, 2008. Checks should be made payable to “United Methodist Women.”

As in years past, we expect thousands of enthusiastic shoppers and with your participation, we can ensure the success of this event. Please call me if you have any questions, suggestions or special needs. If I am not available, please leave a message and I will call you back. I’m looking forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Martha Jobe
